Conleth’s first lighting design was for Passion Machine’s debut production Drowning in the SFX Centre in 1984. He toured Ireland extensively with Field Day Theatre Company, lighting the premiere of Stewart Parker’s Pentecost in 1987.Since then he has designed for many companies & theatres including: Axis–Ballymun, Big Telly, Blunt Fringe, Brassneck, Castleward Opera, Co Motion, DLR Glasthule Opera, Druid, DubbelJoint, Ferndale, Gaiety Theatre, Gate, GBL/Greenshoot, Inside-Intelligence, Island, Kabosh, Lane Productions, Lyric Theatre, Millennium Forum, Partisan, Pat Talbot Productions, Pigsback, Prime Cut, Rathmore, Red Kettle, Rough Magic, Terra Nova, Teatro Espace, Theatre at The Mill, The Mac, Tinderbox, & The Traverse.

Conleth’s first set & lighting design was for Gerry Stembridges’s Love Child in Project Arts Centre (1992). Recently he has been making media to combine with set and/or lighting for such companies as Partisan, Kabosh, Macha, Brassneck, Glasthule DLR, Millennium Forum & Inside-Intelligence.

Since 2012 he has been involved in the Moving Bodies Festival of Live Art and Butoh in Dublin and Turin.

He has lit other events such as fashion shows, political marches, installations, video, and a tattoo or two.

If there is time available he can manage to photograph the shows he is working on.
