This Open Call is for one Lighting Designer in the early stages of their career to assist Sinéad McKenna in the creation of the Lighting Design for the Abbey Theatre‘s upcoming production of Emma directed by Claire O’Reilly.
The selected candidate will work under the mentorship of Sinéad McKenna, and engage with the wider creative team to design the show and deliver it to stage.
This will involve sessions with the designer, production and design meetings, rehearsals etc. You must be available to be in rehearsals with the Lighting Designer at least once per week, and you must be available for the get-in and the entire tech period.
This is a paid role with a remuneration of €3,000. Payments will be made in three installments.
Key Dates:
Rehearsals: 14/10/24 – 18/11/24
Technical Rehearsals: 18/11/24 – 22/11/24
Previews: 22/11/24 – 27/11/24
Opening Night: 28/11/24
You must be an Ireland-based designer and be able to attend rehearsals in Dublin to apply for this role. Please note that no accommodation or accommodation costs will be provided. You must be a member of ISPD or be in the process of a membership application to apply for this role.
